Writing an effective Real Estate advertisement
The Herald
The Herald has shown us 'the result-producing facts' that should be included in every ad are:
- Location
- Number of rooms
- Price and/or terms
- Design
- Age and Condition
- Features, benefits and Proximity to amenities
- Name and phone number
Writing the advert!
The Headline is the most important part of the advert and should state: Area, Price, Major Benefit. The most appealing headlines emphasise low cost or very good value.
Offer a real benefit in your headline 'CLOSE TO ALL AMENTIES' or 'CLOSE TO SCHOOLS' etc.
Another 'eye-stopper' that works, is rolling your headline on into the first sentence ie 'CLOSE TO THESE AMENITIES', shopping centre, schools etc.
- Write the facts, never exaggerate, be honest, specific and factual.
- Dont write to little, but dont write a novel!
- Fluency with words is important, easy to read!
- Write sentences less than 12 words
- Dont try to be funny; it's to risky
- Write to inspire confidence. Prove your points
